Joint Study on Development of Smart Logistics Center

To realize the sustainable cooperation plan between PT Interport Mandiri Utama and PT Kawasan Industri Terpadu Batang in the field of Smart Logistic Center Development in the Batang Integrated Industrial Estate - Central Java, on September 3, 2021, the Memorandum of Understanding for Joint Study between PT Interport Mandiri Utama ( a subsidiary of PT Indika Energy Tbk) with PT Kawasan Industri Terpadu Batang which held at the Office of the Ministry of Investment/BKPM Indonesia.

The signing of this Memorandum of Understanding was attended and witnessed by Mr Bahlil Lahadalia as Minister of Investment/Head of BKPM of the Republic of Indonesia, Mr Ikmal Lukman as Plt. Secretary of the Ministry / Principal Secretary, Mr Imam Soejoedi as Deputy for Investment Implementation Control, and Mr Yukki Nugrahawan Hanafi as BKPM Investment Committee.

The signing of this Memorandum of Understanding was carried out directly by the Director of PT Interport Mandiri Utama, Mr Alif Sasetyo and Mr Galih Saksono as the President Director of PT Kawasan Industri Terpadu Batang.

The Memorandum of Understanding contains an agreement between PT Kawasan Industri Terpadu Batang and PT Interport Mandiri Utama to conduct a Joint Study on an integrated logistics area – known as a 'smart logistics center' – which is expected to provide maximum benefits for partners in the Grand Batang City area by optimizing technology-based environmentally friendly.

Mr Alif Sasetyo, Director of PT Interport Mandiri Utama said, "We thank you for the opportunity, trust and support from the Ministry of Investment, the Batang Integrated Industrial Estate, and the Batang Regency Government so that Interport can contribute to accelerating economic growth in Indonesia, especially in the Batang Regency. Trunk Integrated Industry".

Through the signing of this Memorandum of Understanding for the Joint Study, it hoped that the roles of both parties could contribute significantly to improving the efficiency of the investment climate in Indonesia. This includes empowering human resources in Central Java and its surroundings by creating skilled jobs, experts, and positive value and significant benefits for all partners in the Batang Integrated Industrial Estate.

PT Interport Mandiri Utama is a subsidiary of Indika Energy which is currently transitioning and diversifying its business portfolio to achieve carbon emission neutrality by 2050. The development of this area and the technology that will be used are expected to contribute to creating a greener and more sustainable Indonesia.
