Interport Participates in the Launch of 60 Electric Buses for Medan’s BRT Mass Transportation Project

Interport had the honor of attending an event hosted by PT Kalista Nusa Armada, marking the launch of 60 new electric vehicles (EVs) as part of Medan's commitment to sustainable mass transportation. This significant milestone in the city’s BRT (Bus Rapid Transit) initiative was led by Medan Mayor Bobby Nasution, underscoring the city’s dedication to a greener, more efficient future in public transit.
This event represents a major leap forward, as Medan transitions to a 100% electric bus fleet for its public transportation system. Mayor Bobby Nasution, alongside Acting Regional Secretary Topan Obaja Putra Ginting, Chairman of the Medan City Council Wong Chun Sen, PT Bluebird (Big Bird) President Director, and PT Kalista’s Director, symbolically launched the 60 buses by dispatching six new BRT corridors. The move is part of a broader initiative that began last year, aimed at converting Medan’s mass transit system to a more environmentally friendly model.
Interport is proud to have played an integral role in the shipment of these EV buses, contributing our expertise and resources to support Medan’s vision of green urban transportation. This collaboration reinforces Interport’s commitment to sustainable infrastructure and its support for Indonesia’s journey toward reducing emissions in urban environments.
