news

Balikpapan, 31 August 2026 – PT Indika Logistic & Support Services (ILSS), a subsidiary of PT Interport Mandiri Utama, has secured a contract for Provision of Shorebase Support Services in Support of Client’s Underwater Inspection In Lieu of Dry-Docking (UWILD) at Interport Business Park (IBP), Balikpapan. The contract covers shorebase support for Rig Tasha, owned by PT Apexindo Pratama Duta Tbk, which is expected to run for approximately 90 days, utilizing IBP’s facilities, including berthing areas and jetty services to support the UWILD activities.

As part of the project, ILSS provides various support services to meet Rig Tasha’s operational requirements, including technical berthing, seabed debris survey, tank cleaning, waste management, overhaul permit, fuel supply, and general support services as required. These services demonstrate ILSS’s capability to provide integrated marine, technical, environmental, and operational support at a single location, supporting the smooth execution of the underwater inspection as an alternative to the dry-docking process.

The contract further strengthens Interport Business Park (IBP) as a facility capable of supporting the operational needs of the offshore and energy industries. Rig Tasha is a jack-up drilling rig designed by Friede & Goldman JU-2000E for offshore oil and gas drilling activities, with the capability to operate in water depths of up to approximately 400 feet (122 meters). The presence of this offshore asset at IBP demonstrates the readiness of Interport’s facilities and services to support customers’ operational requirements, particularly across the maritime and energy industries.
