To design a sustainable future for Indonesia's new capital city, the Head of the Nusantara Capital City Authority appointed Mr. William Sabandar – President Commissioner of Interport as Chair of the New Capital City Authority's Expert Assistance Team in the field of transportation with the main focus ensuring easy accessibility to key facilities, optimizing connections efficient transit, and achieve net emissions targets by 2045.
Mr. William Sabandar and his team are expected to be able to design efficient intermodal system integration solutions by making it easier to move between various types of public transportation. Based on technology such as IoT (Internet of Things), AI (Artificial Intelligence), and Big Data Analytics to optimize the reliability of traffic management and transportation security.
Environmental sustainability has become a principle in policy by reducing the carbon footprint of transportation such as encouraging the use of renewable energy, promoting alternative fuel-based transportation, and integrating environmentally friendly design in the development of transportation infrastructure.
